Context

Engage with staff to ensure a new strategy for the group would be supported, engaged with and delivered by staff in conjunction with their external partners and stakeholders.

Our Approach

  • Listened and aligned with client on high profile launch event with press coverage and a series of follow-up presentations
  • Devised a project framework to deliver the tasks and govern our interaction with the group CEO and staff
  • Utlised available materials and content to create a presentation for Senior Management to outline the communications strategy

  • Produced video clips for use at each launch event to cascade the key messages
  • Designed and printed video cards (which work like tablets) to support interaction and interest. These cards were:

    • Used as takeaways from the events and as aide memoirs for attendees
  • The video cards proved to be a great tool to engage attendees to watch the videos. Many attendees enquired about the video cards and how they could be used in other contexts

Engage and educate patients and home care nursing staff about malnutrition, applicability of a nutrition screening tool and use of medical products.

 

Support client’s affiliated professionals need to develop, implement and monitor patient nutrition plans to exacting quality standards

Our Approach

  • Developed a set of three detailed presentations on different nutrition topics
  • Produced a set of explainer videos on use of a nutrition screening tool and relevant medical products
  • Created a series of live short videos of 50-100 seconds duration to show the ease of use of the various products in combination with every day ingredients
  • Implemented a project framework to develop and agree the scripts and associated content

Engage and highlight to nursing staff HACCP for paediatric parenteral nutrition procedures

 

Ensure staff members were trained and briefed to consistently perform the procedures to exacting quality standards

Our Approach

  • Collated existing material from the client, reviewed, refined and updated procedures to create suitable, easy to follow scripts
  • Developed a project plan to execute the necessary activities to highlight the principles underpinning key procedures
  • Discussed, agreed and planned the video recording sequence
  • Outlined the necessary set up for the required video shots and arranged the video shoot schedule
  • Coached and guided participants through the video recordings to ensure the procedures were performed properly

Delivered Outcomes

  • Produced 8 videos for the clients, to be used in a range of circumstances from class room instruction to on demand/remote training sessions
  • Final edited approved videos distributed to train staff
  • Videos are available for inclusion in a questionnaire that assesses the competence or current knowledge level of nurses who perform the paediatric parenteral nutrition procedures

Context

Raise awareness of the availability and enhance update of CPD options among nurses, midwives and other personnel

 

Promote the uptake of CPD in a manner which recognises the practical challenges that prevent staff registering for CPD

Our Approach

  • Presented a series of options to the client outlining different ways to raise awareness of the CPD opportunities available online from the HSE
  • Identified the key clinical leadership competencies
  • Proposed how to succinctly explain the knowledge required and how to maintain or develop the necessary skills
  • Recommended the use of an animation video to deliver the key messages

Delivered Outcomes

  • Drafted scripts that outlined the main concepts to be
    highlighted in the animation
  • Produced draft animations for client review and comment
  • Approved post edited animation following extensive consultation and feedback on various animation drafts
  • HSE Senior management reviewed and approved the animation for deployment to all nurses and midwives across the health service

Case Study – Mobile Apps for Healthcare

Context

Help Cystic Fibrosis (CF) patients to easily and conveniently track their many
symptoms, medications and manage their appointments with a wide variety of professionals

 

Educate and empower patients and support their healthcare professionals

Our Approach

  • Structured discussions to reveal the major concerns of CF patients were the accurate recalling of symptom occurrence, duration, frequency and the action taken
  • Determined the key issues, ongoing requirements and daily challenges CF patients, their carers and families face
  • Investigated if there was any existing materials available that could help inform the progress of a project in a more effcient and effective manner
  • Framed the proposed solution based on the information uncovered and knowledge revealed in our preparatory engagements with our client

Delivered Outcomes

  • Devised a patient checklist that patients use continually and find extremely helpful in managing their condition
  • Created a wireframe and application design based on the approved checklist
  • A mobile app. for both Android and iOS platforms based on the approved checklist with complementary appointment scheduling functionality
  • Patients can easily record relevant data when their recall is optimum and print a simple but detailed well laid out summary report
  • Patients are more educated and engaged about their personal health status empowering them to make better choices
